Arctic Energy Workshops

The Pembina Institute's Northern Oil and Gas and the Environment Workshops are designed to provide participants with the opportunity to learn about the oil and gas industry, and to interact with individuals associated with it.

Perspectives are provided by industry and industry associations, regulators, land owners, local First Nation representatives and environmental non-governmental organizations. Over the past few years the Pembina Institute has delivered week-long workshops in Alberta and two-day workshops in northern communities. Since 2002, Pembina has held over 14 workshops in Alberta and the north. These workshops have been attended by northerners from various backgrounds whose job or function in their community relates to managing environmental issues and oil and gas development.
